About
My family moved around a lot when I was a kid, which is probably why I like to travel. We settled on a small farm, not far from Chicago, which is probably why I love plants so much. City kids from New York, my brother and I roamed through our woods and fields and learned to be country kids. My first camera was a cheap little Ansco. And my very first photograph was of a dead butterfly I placed on a potted poinsettia plant. This early experience lay dormant until much later when I became a studio photographer. I still love to photograph plants, my latest series being photographs of heaps of dead plants.
